multicultural dress up clothes

EWE’s dress up clothes are invaluable for role play, story telling, festivals, drama, RE, PSHE and Social Studies.  The fourteen outfits are copies of ethnic costumes worn today in Asia and Africa.  A wedding kit and selection of headdresses complete our dressing up range.

European Costumes: Polish boy's outfit, Polish girl's dress
South Asian Costumes: Sari, Shalwar Kameez, Rajasthani outfit, Pavadai, Kurta Pyjama and Lungi
Chinese Outfits: Cheongsam, Girl’s Tong Chang, Boy’s Tong Chang
African Costumes: West African Dress, West African Buba, Jellaba, Somali Dress, Somali Boy’s Outfit
Head-dresses: Indian Gandhi Cap, Turban, Arab Boy’s Kaffiyeh, Skull Cap, Girl’s Hijab and Bindis
Adult Outfits: Sari, Shalwar Kameez, Kurta Pyjama

All outfits come with a map, educational notes and a colour-in picture and are available in 3 sizes, 2-4 years old (for children 100cm tall), 4-6 years old (for 110cm height) and 6-8 years old (120 cm). The South Asian clothes are also available in a 9-11 years old size (140 cm).

They are sewn to European standards, mostly elasticised, have child-friendly Velcro and press button fastenings and are loose enough to wear over the child’s clothes.
