Our hand puppets depict the main characters of the Indian epic the Ramayana (the story behind the festival of Divali)--Rama, his wife Sita, his brother Lakshman with his friend Hanuman the monkey general, and his enemy the 10-headed Ravana.

Accessories in the bag include a golden deer, Rama's slippers, his ring, and a laminated story. (The garlands and crown--pictured below--have been removed from the sack for safety reasons.)

Akbar, a famous Indian emperor, ruled in Agra at the same time as Elizabeth I was Queen of England. He was a just and good ruler. His favourite Minister, Birbal, was well known as a witty and wise man and there are many stories about them.

Enclosed in the jute bag are exquisitely crafted hand puppets of Akbar and Birbal, four laminated stories about them, accessories and notes--all ready for the teacher.
