The
bride wears a red ghagra choli with matching bangles and teeka
for her forehead...her golden, sequined dupatta is elaborately fringed in gold.
(Press buttons attach the dupatta to the skirt waist and a loop
holds it in place on her blouse shoulder.)

The Hindu wedding lasts for several days, and the actual ceremony is
performed on an auspicious day and time chosen by a priest.
Marriage in the Hindu tradition is a sacrament taken from the Vedas
written more than 3000 years ago. A sacred fire serves as
witness to the ceremony.
